Welcome to the website of the Grand Provincial Chapter of Valencia, which I hope you will find informative and interesting.

The website is primarily intended for the Companions of the Province, although I hope it will also be useful to those who are considering joining the Order. Brothers may join the Royal Arch provided that four weeks have passed since their elevation to Master Mason.

The Province of Valencia is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Spain and is composed of all the Chapters of the Holy Royal Arch of Valencia and Murcia.

It is a great honour and a great responsibility for me to continue the work begun by my predecessors, M.E. Comp. Barrie R. Mansell (2009-2015) and M.E. Comp. Norman Wheatley (2015-2022). Together with all the Companions who have been part of this Province over the years, they have contributed to its improvement and growth.

As Grand Superintendent, it is my intention to promote the dissemination of Royal Arch Masonry among all the Brothers of the Province of Valencia, conveying to them the principles and values of this Order, as well as facilitating their incorporation, if that is their wish. To this end, I reproduce below part of the text on the information about this Degree.

"Freemasonry is not in itself a political or religious association, but a means of improving our social, moral and civic conduct, as well as enhancing our faith in the Supreme Being.

The Supreme Order of the Royal Arch was described as “the root, heart and marrow of Freemasonry”, which had existed, developed and flourished for at least 260 years.

It is a vital part of Freemasonry, recognised as part of ‘pure and ancient Masonry’ by its Book of Constitutions. It follows the Symbolic Degrees, being the last part of a four-act play that explores the link between our mortal existence and our belief in Eternity, thus guiding our thoughts to fulfil the will of the Creator.

It is a way of life that teaches us to be charitable in thought and deed, not only to other Freemasons, but to all our fellow human beings, eradicating envy and discord and fostering harmony. It also teaches us to control all unworthy passions and prejudices, as well as to cultivate Charity. It encourages us to walk through life in a just and honest manner, reminding us that there is One who knows every thought, word and deed, and to whom we must give account for all our actions.

Most Excellent Grand Superintendent.

M.E. Comp. Luis Alcaina Guzmán
